About Shannon
Having been an athlete at the US Naval Academy (where she earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors) and experienced the physical & mental demands as a Marine Corps officer, Shannon continues to value health and personal growth, and is grateful for her yoga & coaching journey with its holistic approach to wellness.
Her Master's in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma and graduate studies in Social Work at the University of Hawai'i are the academic basis for her coaching,
along with the 18 month MentorCoach® program which is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Level 2 accredited program that emphasizes positive psychology.
She was in the first cohort to become a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) in 2017.
Shannon has 1800 training hours in yoga therapy and Ayurveda; she has been practicing yoga for 15 years, and yoga therapy for 11 years. She has worked in four clinical settings as part of integrative wellness teams, providing yoga therapy to clients experiencing pain, recovering from trauma and PTSD, complex injuries, heart disease and other illnesses, burnout, grief, and challenges to their mental health.
Shannon has lived internationally for ten years, in Hawai'i for another ten years and speaks six languages. With diverse career experiences, her strengths include cultural adaptability and empathy for the challenges clients face with work-life integration. She is grateful for the opportunity to support clients in living healthier lives with greater balance and self-care.
